Hi there! We’re Jess and Maddy—two adventurers, dog lovers, and partners in life and wanderlust. Together with our two furry companions (a yellow lab and a German shepherd), we make up Our Wandering Pack.
Why Our Wandering Pack?
The name reflects everything we love: exploring the great outdoors, sharing life with our dogs, and building a community of like-minded adventurers. For us, life is about more than just the destination—it’s about the journey, the connections we make along the way, and the memories we create together.
Our Story
Our first adventure together was climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, a journey that tested us physically and emotionally and showed us what we’re capable of when we work together. Since then, our shared passion for adventure has shaped our lives. From trail runs to camping trips, we’ve always sought intentional time with each other and with nature.
But life hasn’t always been smooth trails and open skies. Like many, we’ve faced our own challenges—including leaving behind busy nonprofit careers that left us burned out and doubting ourselves. Despite it all, we’ve chosen to follow our hearts, redefine success, and create a life rooted in friendship, exploration, and freedom.
What This Blog Is All About
Our Wandering Pack is more than just a blog—it’s our way of sharing stories, tips, and inspiration as we transition to full-time travel trailer living. We’re new to this lifestyle (our longest camping trip so far has only been two weeks!), and we’re learning as we go. Along the way, we’ll share:
