When we set out on our journey toward full-time RV living, we knew one thing for certain: having the right gear can make or break an adventure. The problem? So many products out there are either overhyped, overpriced, or simply not built for real travelers like us. That’s why we created The Travel Gadget Co.—a shop dedicated to travel-tested, adventure-approved gear that we actually use and love.

Our Story: Built from Real Travel Experience

As we transition into full-time RV living, we’re experiencing firsthand what works and what doesn’t when it comes to travel gear. Whether it’s a compact coffee maker that saves counter space, a portable power station for boondocking, or an all-weather hiking gadget, we’re constantly putting gear to the test.

Before launching The Travel Gadget Co., we spent hours researching, testing, and comparing products for our own use. We figured—why not share our knowledge and favorite finds with other travelers, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts? Our goal is simple: to help others avoid the trial-and-error phase by curating a selection of tried-and-true gear that enhances life on the road.

There are plenty of travel stores out there, but here’s what sets ours apart:

• We actually test our gear – If we don’t love it, we don’t recommend it. Everything in our shop has been personally vetted for durability, practicality, and real-world usability.
• Designed for travelers, by travelers – We focus on lightweight, compact, and multifunctional items perfect for RVers, van lifers, campers, and weekend adventurers.
• Honest recommendations – We’ll always be transparent about what works best for different situations. Some gear is perfect for boondocking, while other products are better for full hookups—our reviews and selections reflect those differences.

Some of Our Favorite Must-Have Travel Gadgets

Here are just a few game-changing travel essentials we swear by:

✅ Heavy Duty Stakes – A must-have for holding down outdoor rugs or keeping a tent in place for extra indoor space!

✅ Outdoor Bivy Sack – Both of us have brothers who are in or have been in the US Marine Corps. they turned us on the the many uses of a good Bivy sack. Jess is often cold around the campfire an will stick her feet in one of these. We have also used them when we were stealth car camping unexpectedly and didn’t want to leave the car running all night!

✅ Flashlight – These ones come in a two pack and we have them scattered everywhere- for $10 we ordered 3. There are two in the house, two in the RV and one in each car! These work and they are the perfect size!

✅ Our Dog Essentials – We have so many dog items that are must have’s for our dogs comfort. We use these supplies and have them on hand at all times!
